Dreamy Farmhouse Bedroom

Dreamy Farmhouse Bedroom

Before we moved in, this room belonged to a little boy. The walls were painted bright blue and he even had a pirate ship bed!!

Before

If you’ve read my previous posts, you’ll know that blue is not my color. In fact, my husband would say that color is not my color. 😂

Before

This blue wasn’t easy to paint over, but once it was done, the room was transformed. After that, it was just a couple trips to Hobby Lobby and Home Goods and voila.

Paint: Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter

Bedding: Vera Wang via Home Goods

Decor: Hobby Lobby

Headboard: Costco

Fan: Home Depot

Entry Way Decor

Entry Way Decor

Sort of embarrassed that it took me so long to decorate my entry way. It’s the first thing you see when you come in the door! It should have been the first thing I did! But it’s a small space and I was so lost on what to do with it.

Well that’s all changed because today I did it!!! I found this shelf at Hobby Lobby that perfectly fits my little slice of wall. Everything on the shelf is from Hobby Lobby, except the candles. Those were from Target and they smell like cupcakes 🧁 🤤 (don’t worry I won’t light them and set the shelf on fire).

The gallery wall behind is decorated with pieces from Home Goods and Hobby Lobby.

Do you have any spaces in your house that you are struggling to decorate? Show me! Also tag me in your entryways. I love seeing what you all do in your spaces 😘

Farmhouse Kitchen Style

Farmhouse Kitchen Style

Our kitchen was in pretty good shape when we moved in. The granite wouldn’t have been my first choice, but it’s not in the budget to replace it at the moment.

Before

What was in the budget was a fresh coat of paint, a few new lighting fixtures, and some updated decor.

After

My favorite part of this kitchen is the big farmers sink. When my son was a baby we did all of his baths in that sink. No matter what else we change, that sink will stay.

The “let’s stay in” sign reverses to say “let’s go out” but let’s be honest… I’ve got a toddler. I’m never gonna flip it. It’s from the Hearth & Hand with Magnolia collection from Target. The flowers and jug are from Hobby Lobby.

Thanks for checking out my kitchen!! Hope you liked it.

Hi all!

Just a quick post today to share some spring decor I’ve added to the front porch.

I found this great Home Sweet Home rug at Target. (It’s on sale at the moment! May 3). To add a little extra pop, I layered it over this buffalo check throw rug I found on Amazon.

Our rocking chairs are from Ocean State Job Lot. We were a little disappointed in the quality. My husband had to literally shorten pieces with a saw to get them assembled. But they look nice finished 😂

I made a wreath by wrapping an embroidery hoop with burlap and then attaching greenery and flowers with hot glue. I got everything I needed to make it from Hobby Lobby.

If you’d like to see how I made it, I put together this video.

I hope you enjoyed this little tour of my porch!

Modern Farmhouse Bathroom Remodel

Modern Farmhouse Bathroom Remodel

I have been waiting sooooooooooooooooooo long to write this post. Bathroom remodel phase three has come to an end (spoiler alert: there is a phase four still to come).

Before

Phase One: The floor. We ripped out the square beige tiles with almost zero effort required. That explained the issues we were having with cracking and loss of grout. We replaced them with this gorgeous gray wood grain tile from Lowes. We also painted the room Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter.

Phase Two: The toilet nook. We replaced the old round bowl toilet with an American Standard Vormax Plus from Home Depot. We added floating shelves from Hobby Lobby and styled with accessories from Hobby Lobby and Target.

Phase Three: Vanity wall. The bathroom previously had a single bowl French country style vanity. The space was exactly 72” so we got this amazingly beautiful double bowl vanity from Costco. It’s called the Chandler by Mission Hills. It doesn’t appear to be available right now, but I found a few on Amazon with a similar look:

The top of mine is Quartz, but it looks like marble. True confession: I thought it was marble til last week 😂🤦🏻‍♀️. We added shiplap to the wall above the vanity. It was our first time working with shiplap and I thought it went really well. We used MDF shiplap from Lowes. It comes primed white. We painted all sides before we put it up form moisture resistance and then painted a final coat after puttying the nail holes.

The mirrors and the faucets are both oil rubbed bronze and we found them at Lowes. The lights are Westinghouse from Amazon (two light version we used*: https://amzn.to/39fEEtS but also available in single light*: https://amzn.to/3nXhIUk or triple light*: https://amzn.to/3fwJJz5). We spray painted the bottoms white (Rust-Oleum Universal Flat White*: https://amzn.to/3nVC28p) because we didn’t like the gold color they came in. Decor, as always, via Hobby Lobby, Home Goods, and Target 🙌🏻 If you’re avoiding in person shopping these days like I am, here’s a link to buy some cotton stems from Amazon*: https://amzn.to/33eJbc2

Phase Four: The shower. As over the moon as I am to be done this part of the reno, we still need to retile the tub surround. I would love a marble subway tile to match the quartz vanity top, but I’m still undecided. Pleaseeee tag me in any tub tile inspiration you think would match this bathroom. Also, feel free to reach out if you have any questions or want links to any products we used. Thanks!!

Farmhouse Dining Room Redesign

Farmhouse Dining Room Redesign

Our dining room is just off the front door, so it offers a first impression of our home. When we toured this house on our first showing, well let’s just say I didn’t love it.

Before

The walls were Pepto pink. The furniture was outdated and way oversized for the room. It just didn’t feel like a welcoming, functional dining room to me. I knew if we bought this house, things would have to change BIG time in this room.

Before

My first step in the project was to paint. I chose a classic neutral for the entire house: Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter. Once my walls were looking flawless, I was off to find the perfect table. I scoured Facebook Marketplace, LetGo, and OfferUp for weeks. Then one day I spotted it. A gray Restoration Hardware farmhouse table and benches. Cue ALL the heart eye emojis. To say we got this table for a steal would almost be an insult to criminals. The only thing I love more than beautiful, clean design is a GOOD DEAL. This table checked all my boxes.

After

I ordered some upholstered chairs from Wayfair to complete my vision. We had actually previously purchased a lighting fixture from Costco with plans to put it in our eat in kitchen, but when I saw it above the dining room table I just knew that was where it belonged.

After

What do you think? I think it looks like a completely different house!! I love love LOVE this room. Food just tastes better in a room this pretty!

Lighting Fixture: Costco

Table: Restoration Hardware (via FB Marketplace)

End chairs: Wayfair

Centerpiece: Home Goods

Wall Art: Hobby Lobby
